Creating a Funnel

Step 1 β€” Create the Funnel

  1. Go to Funnels in the left navigation.
  2. Click + New Funnel.
  3. Enter a funnel name (internal label).
  4. Select the site this funnel belongs to.
  5. Click Create.

Step 2 β€” Add Pages to the Funnel

With the funnel editor open:

  1. Click + Add Page.
  2. Select an existing page from your site, or create a new one.
  3. Repeat for each step in the funnel.

Drag pages to reorder the funnel sequence.

Step 3 β€” Configure Each Step

For each page in the funnel, set:

SettingDescription
PageThe Atomicat page shown at this step
Step NameInternal label (e.g., "Opt-in", "Upsell", "Thank You")
Next StepWhich funnel step the visitor goes to after this page

The Next Step is set inside the page itself β€” for example, a button's link should point to the next funnel page's URL.

Step 4 β€” Review the Flow

The funnel editor shows a visual flow diagram of all steps. Verify the sequence is correct before activating.

Step 5 β€” Track Funnel Performance

Once visitors start flowing through:

  1. Open the funnel.
  2. Click Analytics.
  3. View the step-by-step conversion and drop-off data.

Use this to identify which step has the biggest drop-off and prioritize your optimization efforts there.

Best Practices

  • Keep it short β€” 2 to 4 steps converts better than 8+
  • One goal per step β€” don't put too many CTAs on one page
  • Test the flow before running ads β€” click through every step manually
  • Monitor weekly β€” look at drop-off rates and adjust copy/design

Assigning Funnels to Campaigns

If you use AtomicFilter, you can assign a funnel to a specific campaign so the traffic filter routes visitors through your configured funnel automatically. See AtomicFilter Campaigns for details.
